Hello, I am Raül, photographer and audiovisual artist. Currently based in Barcelona, my work has always been centered around shape and color, shadows and lights, and exploiting the intrinsecal beauty in all that might seem conventional at first sight, from faces and bodies to buildings and reflections.

‘theirs’, on the other side, is an always ongoing project of experimentation, in which the technical aspects are secondary, rather focusing on the body expression and trying to capture natural moments rather than directing heavily. As a gay man with a high sensibility and emotional nature, focusing on male (homo)erotica allowed me to capture some of my model’s most intimate moments, as a way to get to know their true self.

My passion for photography started during my studies at ESDAPC (Barcelona). There, I started producing my first series of photo works, and it was just later, through friends, that I started finding my love for portraits and fashion. In the past years, I continued my journey in Brussels and Berlin –cities that have become my second home– before returning to Barcelona, where I am now looking for new opportunities to showcase my work, as well as working with projects and institutions where I can align and bring my vision.
